curling for kids!
Curling is an inclusive and easy-to-learn sport!
Junior curlers are introduced to fundamentals of the sport and gameplay in a low pressure environment. We offer two six-week sessions for kids to learn how to curl per year, one in the fall and one in the winter. We group kids based on age and ability and pair 2-3 volunteer instructors with small groups. Hot chocolate is served after each class for junior curlers to take part in the longstanding curling tradition called broomstacking.

Activity in a Low Pressure Environment
Curling is a unique sport where size, gender, strength, and speed are of no particular advantage. Balance, mental focus, and touch are the key skills required to be successful at curling.

Adult Mentorship
Kids are put in small groups based on age and ability and learn from multiple volunteer coaches and mentors. Our coaches come from diverse backgrounds and experience levels - but all love the game of curling and sharing it with kids!

Peer Connections
Broomstacking is a longstanding curling tradition where the opposing teams sit down after a game and share a drink while talking about the game and life. Hot chocolate is served after every class.
“I think we underestimated how curling has brought out so much positive growth in our son. Curling is definitely filling a void for him and is helping to shape him into a much more confident and outgoing young man.”
- parent of current Junior curler
“What a fun time curling! My son doesn’t love running or being on teams and so the fact that he loved it made my heart so happy. He really needed this!”
