Curling is a fun, strategic, and social sport for all ages. It's easy to learn, hard to master, and built around tradition, teamwork and community.
Whether you're new to the sport or a seasoned player, we invite you to join us during our winter season to experience the sport and spirit of curling for yourself. We have beginner classes and group rentals available for all, no club membership required.
Multigenerational Play
Strength, agility and speed are of no particular advantage in this sport. We have modifications to support a wide range of mobility so everyone can play the same game together.
Gear Provided
We have all the curling gear you need! Just wear warm clothes you can move in and bring clean, dry sneakers. All equipment is free for everyone to use.
Connection by Design
Club members enjoy our lounge and bar to partake in centuries-old traditions like broomstacking—where both teams gather after a game to share a drink and swap stories.

Memberships are required to join curling leagues, participate in tournaments and purchase drinks from our club bar. Member benefits include free scheduled practice ice, free subbing, discounted group rentals, club events and more.
Club Memberships are annual and renew on August 15 each year. These fees directly support our world-class curling facility and club’s sustainability.
Our Story
Founded in 2014, the Traverse City Curling Club has grown from a small group that met at Centre Ice after hockey practices into a vibrant non-profit with its own dedicated curling facility on Garfield Avenue. The club now boasts hundreds of members and proudly operates a “top ten” world-class facility, according to Olympic Gold Medalist Brad Jacobs. Just one year after opening our doors we hosted our first National Championship tournament in partnership with USA Curling.
